| "'The Song of Halewyn' is a commissioned work. A 13 minute episode of a European series based on tales and legends of the Old Continent. The story, which is a weakened version of what it had become through oral traditions was meant to be integrated in an ambitious television project. Thanks to the use of a kind of stained glass aesthetics and materials that have a metallic look for the armours, the film reveals an interesting characteristic: Servais is not inclined to give up creativity simply because this film was a low-budget commission for television."
