| my interest in film began in 1972 in Montreal. I was eager to learn more, so I studied film and media arts in high school, public college, and finally at Concordia University. I worked my way through cameraless animation (films which were hand painted or scratched made without the aid of a camera) by trial and error. I've tried these techniques on super-8, 16mm, and 35mm film. I've had four retrospectives to date and I've lectured on the subject of hand-made cinema as well. I made these films in my down time between motion picture contracts. A lot of my best ideas were hatched in the driver's seat of the car I use on film sets. |
